Myles Girvan
Myles believes an accountant's role is to liaise with clients to help them achieve their objectives. His own objective is to establish a personal relationship with his clients and during the course of 44 years in the profession he has many long term clients who have become personal friends.
Most of Myles' clients are family-owned and managed businesses and commercial enterprises. Myles visits many of his clients at their place of business or at their homes in the evenings if that is preferred.
Myles is also heavily involved in several community organisations including the Clive Rugby Club for which he has been secretary for staggering 42 years and treasurer for 12 years. The local parish also benefit from his treasurer skills as does Hawke's Bay Restorative Justice. Since 1997 he has served as a Justice of the Peace.
Myles is a regular at the gym, enjoys most types of music (except for Jazz!) reading and is a keen vegetable gardener.
